The GlenAllachie 21 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 7 is the 2026 release in the Speyside distillery’s highly regarded series of mature, naturally presented single malts. Overseen by Master Distiller Billy Walker, each batch is composed individually, allowing the character of carefully selected mature stocks and exceptional oak to take centre stage.
For Batch 7, the whisky was initially matured in bourbon barrels before undergoing an extended secondary maturation in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry puncheons and hogsheads sourced from Spain. This combination brings together the underlying character of long-aged GlenAllachie with the rich influence of two classic sherry styles.
Bottled at its natural cask strength of 51.9% ABV, Batch 7 is presented without added colouring and without chill filtration. The result is a richly sherried Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky combining dark fruit, chocolate, coffee and warming spice, while retaining the depth expected of a 21-year-old release.
As the seventh edition of GlenAllachie’s 21 Year Old Cask Strength series, Batch 7 will appeal particularly to enthusiasts following Billy Walker’s evolving approach to long maturation and sherry-cask management.
