Springbank Local Barley 2011 10 Year Old 2022 Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl 51.6%

Springbank’s Local Barley series celebrates the connection between Campbeltown whisky and the surrounding landscape, using barley grown close to the distillery and processed entirely on-site. This 2011 vintage release was produced from Belgravia barley grown at Glencraigs Farm on the Kintyre Peninsula, bringing a distinct sense of place to one of Springbank’s most collectible annual bottlings.

Distilled in May 2011 and bottled in December 2021, this 10 Year Old single malt was released as part of Springbank’s 2022 Local Barley expression. The whisky was matured entirely in bourbon casks before being bottled at natural cask strength of 51.6% ABV.

Produced at Springbank’s historic Campbeltown distillery, the whisky reflects the producer’s traditional approach, including floor malting, direct control over production, and distillery bottling. The release was limited to 15,000 bottles, making it one of the more accessible but still highly sought-after examples from the modern Local Barley range.

With its local barley provenance, limited availability and reputation among enthusiasts, this release remains a notable addition for collectors of Springbank and those interested in terroir-driven single malt Scotch whisky.
