Springbank 12 Year Old Cask Strength is one of the most anticipated annual releases from Campbeltown’s iconic Springbank Distillery. Known for its traditional production methods and distinctive house style, Springbank remains one of Scotland’s few distilleries to carry out the full whisky-making process on site, including malting, distillation, maturation and bottling.
The 2025 Cask Strength release is the 27th edition of this popular expression, continuing Springbank’s tradition of showcasing the depth and complexity of its lightly peated Campbeltown spirit at full strength. Bottled on 13 February 2025, this edition has been created from a vatting of 60% bourbon casks, 35% sherry casks and 5% rum casks, bringing together sweetness, spice and rich oak influence.
Bottled at 55.9% ABV, this limited annual release has not been reduced in strength, allowing the whisky’s full character and texture to be experienced. The combination of bourbon, sherry and rum maturation adds layers of fruit, spice and sweetness while retaining Springbank’s signature maritime and lightly smoky character.
