Distilled on Orkney in 2011 and bottled in 2026, this 15 Year Old single malt was selected by Signatory Vintage for Edition #83 of its popular 100 Proof series. Bottled at the traditional 100 UK Proof strength of 57.1% ABV, it was finished in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butts and presented without chill filtration or added colour.

The distillery itself is not officially named on the bottling, appearing instead under the discreet Orkney (HP) designation. The initials are widely associated by specialist whisky retailers with one of Orkney’s best-known distilleries, but its identity is best treated as undisclosed.

A first-fill PX sherry finish brings a rich layer of dried fruit, treacle, chocolate and warming spice to the island spirit, complementing the heathery smoke, honeyed malt and maritime character highlighted in published tasting notes. Details of the casks used before the Pedro Ximénez finish have not been officially disclosed.

At 15 years of age and a robust 57.1%, Edition #83 offers an appealing combination of mature Orkney Single Malt Scotch Whisky, pronounced sherry influence and the high-strength presentation for which Signatory’s 100 Proof releases have become known.
