Longrow Peated is the signature heavily peated expression from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, showcasing a bold and smoky style while retaining the distillery’s distinctive traditional character. Produced using the same hands-on approach as Springbank’s other whiskies, Longrow is made entirely on site, including malting, distillation, maturation and bottling.
Double distilled and heavily peated, Longrow Peated offers a powerful interpretation of Campbeltown single malt, combining rich smoke with the oily texture and complexity associated with Springbank’s production methods. Matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, the whisky balances peat smoke with layers of sweet fruit, vanilla, spice and oak.
Bottled at 46% ABV, with no added colouring and without chill filtration, Longrow Peated preserves the natural character of the spirit. Its combination of maritime influence, earthy peat and traditional craftsmanship has made it a favourite among enthusiasts seeking a distinctive alternative to heavily peated Islay whiskies.
Longrow Peated is an excellent representation of Campbeltown’s historic whisky style, offering depth, complexity and a recognisable smoky character from one of Scotland’s most respected independent distilleries.

Longrow
Founded 1973
Longrow is not actually a standalone distillery but a heavily peated variant of single malt whisky produced by the Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, Scotland. Established in 1973 as an experimental peated malt, Longrow was named after a now-defunct distillery that once stood adjacent to Springbank. It is double-distilled and peated to between 50 and 55 ppm, offering a robust, smoky flavor profile distinct from the lighter Springbank or unpeated Hazelburn whiskies made at the same distillery. Longrow's core expressions include the Longrow Peated, Longrow Red - which varies annually with different red wine cask finishes, and aged expressions like the Longrow 18 and 21 Year Old. This whisky embodies the traditional, hands-on approach of Springbank, with all aspects of production, from malting to bottling, done on-site.
