Lagavulin Distillers Edition is a celebrated annual release from one of Islay’s most iconic distilleries, offering a richer and sweeter interpretation of the classic Lagavulin style. Known for its powerful peat smoke, maritime character and deep complexity, Lagavulin is one of Scotland’s most recognisable single malt producers.
This expression is created using a double maturation process, where mature Lagavulin whisky receives a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry-seasoned casks. The influence of the PX casks adds layers of dried fruit, sweetness and spice, complementing the distillery’s signature smoky and coastal character.
Bottled at 43% ABV, Lagavulin Distillers Edition balances rich sherry influence with the unmistakable flavours of Islay whisky. The result is a complex and approachable expression where dark fruit, oak sweetness and peat smoke work together in harmony.
