The Glenfarclas 24 Year Old 2000 Millennium Cask No.12 is the third release in the distillery's prestigious Generation Series, a five-part collection launched to celebrate the traditions, craftsmanship and innovation of the Grant family. Each release is presented in an elegant Glencairn crystal decanter housed in a luxurious red presentation case, reflecting the premium nature of this limited series.
To mark the arrival of the new millennium, the Grant family and the Glenfarclas team selected a number of exceptional casks filled on New Year's Eve 1999 and New Year's Day 2000, setting them aside for long-term maturation. This release comes from Cask No.12, a first-fill sherry butt personally selected by Peter Donnelly, Director of the Pol Roger Portfolio.
Distilled on 1 January 2000 and bottled on 30 July 2024, this remarkable Speyside single malt spent 24 years maturing before being bottled at 47.4% ABV. Limited to 600 bottles, it beautifully demonstrates Glenfarclas' signature rich, sherried character while highlighting the elegance and individuality of a single exceptional cask.
With its outstanding presentation, historical significance and extremely limited availability, Millennium Cask No.12 is a fitting addition to one of Glenfarclas' most collectible modern series.
