Bottled from a single Matusalem sherry butt, this limited edition showcases Glenfarclas' traditional approach to sherry cask maturation while offering enthusiasts the opportunity to experience a truly unique single cask bottling.
Distilled in 2015 and bottled on 16th March 2026, this exceptional Speyside single malt spent 11 years maturing in Cask No. 5950 before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 61.3% ABV. The cask yielded just 803 bottles, making it one of the most collectible Glenfarclas festival releases in recent years.
Unlike the seasoned sherry casks commonly used throughout the Scotch whisky industry, this whisky matured in an ex-Matusalem sherry butt—a cask that previously held the renowned aged cream sherry from González Byass. This style of cask imparts a distinctive sweetness and subtle complexity, complementing Glenfarclas' rich, fruity spirit without overwhelming it.
