A remarkable limited edition from GlenAllachie, matured for 17 years and finished in antique ex-Solera Sherry butts that had spent 55 years in continuous use within a traditional solera system — casks of extraordinary character, having absorbed decades of accumulated sherry influence before ever touching this whisky. Bottled in 2024 at cask strength, this release is available exclusively at the distillery, making it one of the rarest and most sought-after bottlings in the current GlenAllachie range.
The result of such deeply seasoned wood is a whisky of exceptional richness and complexity, showcasing Master Distiller Billy Walker's renowned mastery of cask selection at its most ambitious.
Colour
Deep, dark mahogany, richly coloured from decades of accumulated sherry influence.

Intensely rich, with dark dried fruit, treacle, and antique sherry sweetness, layered with leather, dark chocolate, and warm spice.
Palate
Full and richly textured at cask strength, opening with stewed fruit and deep sherry sweetness, developing into espresso, dark chocolate, and a firm, satisfying oak structure.
Finish
Exceptionally long and warming, with lingering dark fruit, spice, and a final note of rich, antique sherry oak.
Glenallachie
Founded 1967
Since Billy Walker took the helm in 2017, Glenallachie has cut production drastically to focus purely on quality, favouring long fermentation and rich sherry cask maturation. Renowned for its bold, sherried Speyside character.
