Edradour 10 Year Old 2015–2025 200th Anniversary is a limited small batch release celebrating two centuries of one of Scotland’s smallest traditional distilleries. Located in the Highlands near Pitlochry, Edradour is renowned for its hands-on approach to whisky production, with a strong focus on small-scale craftsmanship and distinctive cask maturation.
Distilled in 2015, this expression was matured for 10 years in Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks, allowing the rich, sweet influence of the fortified wine casks to complement Edradour’s full-bodied Highland spirit. Bottled in 2025 at 46% ABV, the whisky has been presented at a strength designed to showcase its depth and character while remaining approachable.
Created to mark the 200th anniversary of Edradour Distillery, this release combines historic significance with the distillery’s appreciation for traditional whisky-making. The PX sherry maturation brings layers of dried fruit, sweetness and spice, while the small batch format adds to its appeal among collectors and enthusiasts.
Bottled without added colouring and without chill filtration, this anniversary expression offers an authentic representation of Edradour’s character and a fitting tribute to the distillery’s long history.
Edradour
Founded 1825
One of Scotland’s most picturesque distilleries, Edradour is believed to have been founded as Glenforres in 1825. This area of Perthshire was well known for illicit stills and farm distilleries that were well hidden and almost invisible to excisemen due to the terrain. By the 1830s the distillery name is Edradour and thus begins a colourful history of owners that continues with Signatory Vintage today. The issue with Edradour has always been its small production and mashtun of 1.1 tonnes that for many years was the smallest in Scotland. Since the craft distillery boom of recent times, Edradour is no longer the smallest by some margin, but the problem of output still endured. Especially, as Signatory began to expand the range including a heavily peated (Ballechin) distillation; all to acclaim. To address the problem, a second almost identical distillery was built alongside the original. This inventive approach has ensured the idyllic original Eradour remains unscathed and as consumers, we have the opportunity to try more whisky.
