The Daftmill 15 Year Old 2009 Fife Strength is the third release of Daftmill's oldest permanent age statement and a superb example of this highly sought-after Lowland farm distillery's distinctive house style. Distilled during the summer months of June to August 2009 using Optic barley grown in the South Fields of the Cuthbert family farm, the whisky was bottled in December 2024 after 15 years of maturation.

This small-batch release combines 19 first-fill ex-bourbon barrels with one ex-Pedro Ximénez sherry cask—the first time a Daftmill 15 Year Old has incorporated sherry-matured whisky. Matured in the lower level of Warehouse 2 and bottled at the traditional Fife Strength of 56.3% ABV, it retains the distillery's elegant, cereal-led character while introducing an extra layer of dark fruit richness from the PX cask.

Limited to 3,840 bottles, this release is bottled at natural cask strength, with no added colouring and no chill filtration, preserving the whisky's full texture and complexity. Produced in extremely small quantities each year, Daftmill remains one of Scotland's rarest farm distilleries, making every official release highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
