Part of Bruichladdich's acclaimed Micro-Provenance Series, this limited single cask release explores the influence of individual variables—including barley variety, cask type and maturation—on the distillery's unpeated Islay spirit. Each bottling in the series offers a unique snapshot of Bruichladdich's commitment to provenance and transparency.

Distilled on 19 March 2012 using Publican barley, this expression matured for 11 years in a first-fill virgin oak cask (No.0917) before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 64.1% ABV on 16 May 2023. Virgin oak brings a distinctive layer of vanilla, spice and toasted oak to Bruichladdich's elegant, fruit-driven spirit, creating a whisky of remarkable intensity and individuality.

Drawn from a single cask, the release yielded just 270 individually numbered bottles, making it one of the rarer Micro-Provenance bottlings. Presented at natural colour and without chill filtration, it offers whisky enthusiasts the opportunity to experience Bruichladdich's experimental approach to cask maturation in its purest form.
