The Blanton's Gold Edition Single Barrel Bourbon is one of the most celebrated expressions in the Blanton's range, offering the iconic single barrel bourbon at a higher bottling strength of 103 Proof (51.5% ABV). Originally created for select international markets, the Gold Edition delivers greater richness, complexity and spice while retaining the smooth character that has made Blanton's one of the world's most collectible bourbons.
This individual bottling was dumped on 22nd March 2023 from Barrel No.656, which matured in the legendary Warehouse H, Rick No.51, before being hand-selected, filtered and bottled. As with every Blanton's Gold Edition, each bottle is individually numbered and finished with the iconic gold horse and jockey stopper, one of eight collectible designs that together spell "BLANTONS".
Introduced as the world's first commercially available single barrel bourbon, Blanton's revolutionised premium American whiskey when it launched in 1984. The Gold Edition builds on that legacy with increased proof and enhanced depth, allowing the distinctive character of each individual barrel to shine through.

Deep amber.
Nose
Spicy rye and tobacco are followed by caramel, honey, dark fruit and bright citrus.
Palate
Rich and complex, with rye spice, honey, caramel, vanilla and dark fruit balanced by charred oak.

Blanton's is not just a whiskey but a symbol of bourbon innovation and tradition, originally created by Colonel Albert B. Blanton at the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky, USA. It's credited with being the first single-barrel bourbon, a concept introduced in 1984 that showcases the unique characteristics of bourbon aged in individual barrels. Each bottle of Blanton's is hand-filled, hand-labeled, and hand-numbered, emphasizing its artisanal approach. The bourbon itself boasts a rich amber color with flavors that dance between vanilla, caramel, dried fruit, and a hint of spice, finishing with a warm, long-lasting finish. The collectible aspect of Blanton's is further enhanced by its iconic horse and jockey stoppers, with each bottle featuring one of eight different figurines.
